1. What stays on your device

Your company details, USDOT and MC numbers, home state, trucks, trailers, drivers, certifications, requirement dates, bills and reminders, and every photo or file you attach to a document are written to storage on your phone and nowhere else. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or readable by us.

They are written into the app's own private storage, which no other app on the phone can open. Identity numbers — a CDL, a passport or visa number, a VIN, a date of birth — are encrypted on top of that, with a key held by the phone's own keystore that never leaves it. On the rare phone whose keystore refuses to give TRKHub a key, that second layer cannot be applied: the app then says so on its More screen rather than pretending otherwise, and the records stay in the app's private storage as above. Scans and photos are files in that private area, protected by the phone's own device encryption — which works from your screen lock, so keep one on.

Android's automatic device backup is switched off for TRKHub. Your records and scans are not copied into your Google account by the operating system, which means a new phone starts empty rather than restoring a half-working copy. The way to carry paperwork to somebody else, or to keep a copy for yourself, is the document pack in section 5.

2. The one thing TRKHub sends out

When you type a USDOT number and ask TRKHub to look it up, the app sends that number — and nothing else — to the public Motor Carrier Census published by the US Department of Transportation at data.transportation.gov, and shows you what the register holds about that carrier. No part of your own data accompanies the request. If you never use the lookup, the app never makes the request.

3. No account, no sign-in

This release has no account. You do not register, you do not sign in, and you give us no name, no email address and no password — because there is nothing here to sign in to. We do not know who you are and we hold no record of you.

An optional account, so paperwork can be carried to a second phone, is something we intend to build. It is not in this release, and when it comes it will be optional, it will be announced on this page and in the app before it ships, and nothing will leave your phone until you switch it on yourself.

4. Reminders

Phone reminders are scheduled and shown by your own device. No server is told what they say or when they fire. There are no email reminders in this release: none is queued and none is sent, because there is no address to send to. The screens that describe an email ladder say plainly on the screen that it is planned and not connected.

5. Sending documents

The document pack is built on your phone and handed to an app you choose there — your own email app, with the files attached and the address you typed, or the share sheet, or the printer. It is sent from your account, not ours; we never see the address and never see the files. TRKHub does not upload the pack and does not keep a copy.

6. What we do not do

• No account, no sign-in, no password — nothing that identifies you to us.
• No analytics, no usage tracking, no crash reporting to us, and no advertising or advertising identifiers.
• No third-party trackers, and no advertising or artificial-intelligence SDK of any kind in the app.
• No artificial intelligence. Every date, count and readiness figure is arithmetic performed on your device.
• No selling, renting or sharing of personal information — we do not hold any to sell.

One thing about this website rather than the app, so that the list above is not read wider than it is: these pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser fetches those font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com and Google sees the request. There are no scripts, no cookies and no analytics on any page here, and the app itself loads nothing from Google.

7. Permissions and why

• Photos and the camera — TRKHub asks for no camera permission of its own. Attaching a scan hands the job to the phone's own camera or gallery, and the image it returns is copied into the app's own storage on your device.
• Notifications — to show your reminders.
• Run after restart — so your scheduled reminders survive a reboot.
• Vibrate — so a reminder can be felt as well as seen.
• Internet — used solely for the USDOT lookup in section 2.

8. Children

TRKHub is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 13, who should not use it.

9. Deleting everything

Because your data is on your device and not with us, you control it directly: view it, edit it, export it as a PDF, or delete it. There are two ways to delete all of it:

• More → Start over inside the app, which clears the records, the scans and the settings on that phone. It cannot be undone.
• Uninstall TRKHub, which removes the app's storage with it.

There is nothing left with us to ask us to delete, and no account to close. If a future version ever stores anything on a server, you will be told before it does, and this policy will describe how to see, export and delete that copy too.

10. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be announced in the app. No account, sign-in or cloud feature will be switched on without this page being updated first and the app telling you before anything leaves your phone.
